BAG FILTER HOUSINGS

Housing selection is part of the overall system design with the major variances being filter size.

Selection of Bag Filter Housing depends upon the application.  Critical selection criteria includes:

• Particulate size to be removed Particle filtration 20 to 200 micrometers, Micro filtration 1 to 20 micro meters or Ultrafiltration 0.01 to 1 micrometer
   
• Impurity loading of fluid to be filtered
   
• Desired flow rate
   
• Nature of fluid, chemical compatibility, viscosity and specific gravity.
   
• Nature of the process batch verses continuous

The below chart shows the flow rates in cubic meters/hour of water at 20 degrees Celsius for single bag housings.

If flow rates exceed that of a standard size 2 housing multi bag systems are applicable.
